Food Diary: Bolivia
Bolivia has great food! In Copacabana, we discovered api (sweet, thin porridge) and gorged ourselves on cheap trucha (trout). In La Paz and Sucre, we stuffed ourselves with saltenas (pastry pockets with tasty fillings). Check out the gallery for more.

p>In Peru we ate lots of “pollo a la brassa” (rotisserie chicken). We discovered “ceviche” (marinated raw seafood). And Marc tried “cuy” (guinea pig), alpaca, and ostrich. Of course, we also tried a few “pisco sours”.
Food Diary: Arequipa
In Arequipa we cooked a lot to save money. On our wedding anniversary we splurged at the restaurant Zig Zag. We frequented the Capriccio cafe for its great coffee and delicious cakes. We discovered cheap chifa (fried rice), pollo a la brassa (roast chicken), and salchipapa (hot dogs and french fries).
